Privacy policy
WXRQ uses visit statistics without tracking cookies or stored IP addresses. The site has no user accounts. You can watch television and listen to radio without registering.
Privacy features
- We use GoatCounter on our own server for visit statistics. It does not set analytics cookies, save tracking identifiers in your browser, or store IP addresses in its database.
- Your last television channel and radio station are saved locally in your browser.
- Pages and streams use HTTPS.
- We do not use advertising trackers or sell your personal information.
Visit statistics
GoatCounter counts page visits and records information such as referring pages, browser and operating-system categories, screen width, language, and country. We submit the page path without its query string or fragment.
An IP address is needed to deliver a page or stream. GoatCounter also processes it temporarily to estimate country and distinguish repeat visits. It does not retain the IP address in the analytics database or use a persistent identifier saved in your browser.
Local browser storage
Your browser remembers channel choices in local storage under wxrq-channel and wxrq-station. You can clear these choices and other site data in your browser settings.
If you write to [email protected], your email provider sends us the address and message you choose to include. We use it to read and respond to your message.
Service providers
Hetzner hosts our servers. Email providers deliver messages sent to and from the station. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
Retention and your choices
Messages are retained in the station's email account according to its mailbox practices. Contact us by email to ask about a message you sent.
- Watch and listen without registering an account.
- Use a content blocker to stop visit counting.
- Clear saved channel choices and other local site data in your browser.
